Our Vision…

Sarum College is an ecumenical centre for Christian study and research where our passion is learning that nourishes the human spirit. Welcoming people of all faiths and none, we offer space and time for enquiring minds to grow in wisdom and courage.

Sarum College is an ecumenical study, conference and research centre in historic grade 1-listed buildings in Salisbury’s Cathedral Close.

Our educational programme is organised in seven Sarum Centres of Learning.

These Centres offer a variety of courses within our specialist areas of Christian Spirituality, Leadership, Ministry, Liturgy and Worship, Theology, Imagination and Culture and The Arts.

Four postgraduate programmes are validated by the University of Winchester and can lead to a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma or an MA degree. Some places are set aside for those who wish to attend postgraduate modules without seeking a qualification.

Short courses range from short evening lectures to four-day residentials and plenty in between. The content also ranges widely, from academic to experimental to leisurely.

We also offer a range of ministry training programmes validated by Durham University and students can choose full-time, part-time or practice-based study and training.

These courses create opportunities for all to learn, to think, to speak and to act with greater theological confidence.

Sarum also hosts a number of special events throughout the year, including lectures and conferencesart exhibitions and lunchtime concerts.

Within the college is a Christian bookshop with specialist and general titles in stock for browsing and mail order facility and a library with an outstanding collection of more than 40,000 books covering all denominations.

Sarum College’s education, accommodation and services are available to all, whether you’re studying on one of our courses, staying the night as a bed and breakfast guest, hiring one of our meeting rooms or just popping in to enjoy one of our fresh home made meals.
